Hinge Side
The side of a window or door leaf on which the hinges are fixed and around which the leaf rotates when opened.
Fixed Frame
Stationary frame of a window or door permanently anchored in the masonry or facade, receiving the movable sash or leaf.
Door Threshold
Lower closing profile of a door or patio door that seals and bridges the transition between interior and exterior areas.
Acoustic Glass
Laminated glass with special interlayers or asymmetric build-up that significantly reduces sound transmission through the glazing.
Solar Control Glass
Coated or tinted glass that selectively reduces solar energy transmittance to prevent overheating of interior spaces.
Solar Control Glazing
Functional glazing with a special coating that reduces solar heat gain while maintaining high visible light transmittance.
Fall Protection Glazing
Technical measure applied to glazing in floor-to-ceiling windows or glass balustrades to prevent persons from falling through.
